"It is imperative that Lt. Gen. McChrystal be scrutinized carefully during the Senate hearings." & The Unquiet Coup

"It is imperative that Lt. Gen. McChrystal be scrutinized carefully during the Senate hearings."

Mary Tillman, who excoriated McChrystal in her book, Boots on the Ground by Dusk: My Tribute to Pat Tillman, was quite emphatic about how McChrystal (ball-gazing) should be viewed.

I've been reporting on the coup d'etat that is a fait accompli in the U.S. for nine years. The Atlantic finally is covering it too.

The excellent Glen Greenwald has a few comments you should run not walk to read on the New York Time's definition of blinding American exceptionalism (although they mean "Rethuglican" exceptionalism) and the latest evidence of Obama's attempts to conceal the Bush/Cheney crimes).

And please, do read the piece from Digby.

Peace,
